Carl Spackler: [preparing to dynamite the gopher tunnel] In the immortal words of Jean Paul Sartre, ‘Au revoir, gopher’.

Sometimes the best way to start the day is just to smile and laugh and someone here said something that made this just pop into my head.
What’s the plan for the day? And don’t say “to just get by….
Don’t have one you say? Find a quiet corner and come up with one. Never settle for just “getting by”.
Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.
Sometimes you need to stop and reset. I stopped this morning and spent a minute thinking. That’s when I took the picture. I reset my perspective and decided to start fresh. A new day dawns….just like the picture. Fresh. No footprints in the snow. Calm , peaceful……nothing has happened yet.
No failures or unmet expectations from yesterday. No victories to rest on. Everything made fresh just for me. So really, only I can screw it up and only I can claim victory when it’s over.
“When your mind is telling you you’re done, you’re really only 40 percent done.”
David Goggins, Former Navy Seal on The 40% Rule.
SEALs also feel that if ‘if it doesn’t suck, we don’t do it’. So build your mental toughness and it will pay dividends with everything else.
“If you want to kick the tiger in his ass, you’d better have a plan for dealing with his teeth”
Strange, I know. But it sounds like some wisdom Grandpa would have handed down, doesn’t it?
Think before you act or things can quickly go bad. It doesn’t mean you should not kick the tiger once in a while, just don’t let what happens next be a surprise. Have a Plan.
